Highly recommend “The Chicken Health Handbook” by Gail Damerow.
Lice & Mites: use Pestene Powder and read the label. Sprinkle lightly through the feathers, under the wings and around the neck, breast and vent area. Also use it to dust nesting boxes and perches. Most breeders recommend doing this at night in complete darkness with a head torch on as the birds are more settled and relaxed about being tipped upside down and dusted?
Worms: use Aviverm and read the label especially “For Best Results” section. This product is added to the water and for maximum efficiency the water should be consumed in the shortest period possible. They recommend removing the water from enclosures the night before and supplying only treated water the next day.
